Job Description:
The primary function of this contract position is to manage the full cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, recruiting, screening, interviewing and scheduling candidates for job openings, as well as developing and implementing a robust on-boarding process with Avida leaders.

Education/Skills/Experience Requirements:
  • Undergraduate Degree in HR or a related field (e.g. Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science)
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation, formerly known as the Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP)
  • Minimum 3 years’ full cycle recruitment experience
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in managing internal and external customers and candidates in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong detail orientation, follow up and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Bilingual (French) verbal and written skills preferred
  • Proficiency in employment laws as well as provincial requirements and regulations
  • Strong working knowledge of market trends and compensation trends within GTA

Essential Duties:
  • Co-owns the full cycle recruitment process with the lead team and hiring managers, including: sourcing, interviewing, and candidate assessment and screening; scheduling and coordination of candidate interviews; candidate evaluation and selection; negotiation and finalization of offer details and onboarding of new hires, to support Avida talent and business needs;
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to clearly define the core accountabilities of the position, analyzing knowledge, skill, and scope needs to create robust job descriptions and job postings;
  • Utilizes a variety of sourcing methods to create a candidate pipeline that meets Avida talent needs, including: Avida job boards, internet/web searches, external recruitment agencies, direct sourcing, networks, community organizations and employee referrals;
  • Presents fully screened, qualified candidates to hiring managers in a timely manner to reduce time to fill and improve the leader and candidate experience;
  • Designs and manages the candidate interview process with the hiring manager; coordinates all communications with the candidates’ and hiring manager from sourcing through onboarding;
  • Ensures a deep understanding of Avida business strategy and execution within each department, tailoring recruitment efforts to needed business requirements
  • Manages Applicant Tracking requirements and related documentation to ensure compliance with provincial regulations and reduce risk to Avida
