Job Description:
The primary function of this contract position is to partner with the Avida team to streamline (and digitize where applicable) a variety of departmental processes, improving our customer and employee experience.

For each process, this includes: diagnosing and mapping current state; scoping and defining future state; conducting pilots, communications and implementation of new processes. Your work will include providing a measurement and evaluation system for new processes to determine internal and external customer return on investment (ROI).

Essential Duties:
  • Work with Avida team members to conduct root cause analysis and identify process improvement opportunities and technical solutions that would lead to productivity enhancements and improve customer satisfaction;
  • Design and build optimal end-to-end processes;
  • Lead problem resolution through analysis by articulating several aspects of a complex situation, defining variables in complex problems, and drawing logical conclusions;
  • Create and deliver presentations summarizing findings and recommendations to Avida team members as needed;
  • Ensure that process design reflects Avida business strategy and business requirements and supports Avida’s vision of creating exceptional in-store experiences
  • Manage change by actively engaging with the Avida team, influencing others to implement appropriate methodologies, diagnose barriers to success and facilitate resolution.
  • Analyze results using appropriate statistical tools and metrics; design an evaluation system to determine ROI of new processes
  • Draft standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and reports, prepare presentations as requested for project updates
  • Act as a partner and collaborator with department leaders and staff in all areas of the business

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of work experience with a university degree and Professional Designation
  • Experience managing work streams in a transformational, fast-paced environment
  • Track record of delivering significant process design and improvement
  • Proficient with Process Mapping tools and Agile project delivery techniques; Additional experience and/or accreditation in Project Management, Lean/Six Sigma, Operations, Consulting or related fields is a plus
  • Knowledge of Project Management fundamentals, KPI definition and measurement
  • Aptitude for technology; fast learner, comfortable dealing with rapid change and ambiguous situations
  • Experienced in preparing presentations, SOP’s, templates and communication plans
  • Well-organized & detail oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced user of MS Office suite
  • Results focused and highly organized
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to operate and influence at all levels
  • Knowledge of exceptional customer service and understanding of the customer journey
  • Experience in retail an asset; experience in manufacturing environment/GMP’s and Quality initiatives an asset
  • Bilingual is a plus (English and French)
